This is the third book in the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and ugh, so good. I absolutely love Maggie Stiefvater and her writing. It’s so lyrical, eloquent and it has this sweet flow to it. I’m not sure if anyone else has experienced the “flow” but whenever I read Maggie Stiefvater’s books I feel it and damn, it’s so good.
In this series, I definitely think this book is my favourite. The character development was spot on and the spotlight was equally shared between all the characters. It wasn’t just getting to know one character more but it was getting to know all of them and seeing how their lives are being intricately intertwined. Despite the storyline of this series being extremely surreal and magical, it reads like a realistic story. All this talk of ley lines and ongoing searches for a dead king makes you forget that the characters are students living in the 21st century.
I’m not even going to talk about what this book is about because it’s the third book and if you haven’t read the first one, you really need to get on board. Just know that this book was so good and all the feels.
